Listing policy
Last updated 22 October 2026
Some details are still being confirmed; they are highlighted until they are final.
Every listing must be a real, available property that the poster has the right to market, and every listing is checked by our team before it goes live.
Who can list what
| Account | Can list |
|---|---|
| Seller | Homes and commercial property for sale, land |
| Landlord | Homes, offices and shops to rent, short stays |
| Land owner | Land and plots |
| Broker agent | All kinds, on behalf of the owner |
| The Haven Group team | All kinds, on behalf of the owner |
Broker agents and team members must give the owner's name and mobile number, and confirm they hold the owner's written permission to market the property. We may contact the owner to confirm.
What every listing needs
A listing cannot be sent for review until the checklist is complete: the kind of property, a clear title, county, town and area, the price, the main details (for example bedrooms, size, title type or lease terms), a description, photos, and when people can view it. The street address is kept private and shared only once a viewing is confirmed.
Review
- Who reviews: our team reviews owners' and agents' listings. Listings posted by team members are reviewed by an admin, and nobody may approve their own listing.
- How fast: Business plan the same working day, Premium within 1 working day, Free within 2 working days.
- The outcome is one of three:
- Published: the listing goes live.
- Changes requested: we explain what to add or correct; you edit it and send it again.
- Rejected: with the reason. A rejected listing is not published and cannot be sent again.
- Editing a published listing sends it back for review before the change goes live.
How long a listing stays up
A published listing stays on the site for 30 days (Free), 60 days (Premium) or 90 days (Business). We remind you 5 days before it ends. Renew it if it is still available; otherwise it comes off the site.
Availability: available, under offer, sold or let
Keep your listing's status up to date from My account:
- Available: open for enquiries and viewings.
- Under offer: an offer has been accepted. It stays on the site with an "Under offer" badge, and viewings remain possible.
- Sold or Let: it shows with a badge for 60 days, with enquiries and viewings closed, then comes off the site.
- Paused: hidden from the site for now, for example during repairs.
Our admins may also change a listing's status, for example when we learn it has sold.
Not allowed
- A property you do not own or have no written permission to market.
- False or misleading details, prices or photos, or "bait" listings that are not really available.
- Photos taken from other listings or websites without permission, or photos that show people's faces or vehicle plates without consent.
- The same property listed more than once.
- Contact details, links or payment instructions inside the description or photos.
- Asking anyone to pay before a viewing.
- Wording that discriminates against people because of their tribe, race, religion, sex, disability or similar.
- Anything illegal, including land without a valid title or that is subject to a dispute you have not disclosed.
Reports and removal
Anyone can report a listing from its page. Our team reviews every report, may pause the listing while we check, and may remove it or close the account. Serious cases, such as fraud, may be reported to the authorities. If we remove your listing, we tell you why, and you can ask us to look again (see safety and complaints).
